Klondike, Spider and FreeCell: choosing a solitaire game
These three solitaire variants use familiar cards but reward different decisions. Your choice changes both the pace of the game and the information worth tracking.

Klondike: reveal hidden cards
Access to face-down cards matters. Before moving a sequence, check whether the move exposes a hidden card. Moving cards merely because a move is available may not improve the position. Save empty columns for useful continuations rather than filling them without a plan.
Spider: build useful sequences
Spider asks you to assemble sequences, but moving them depends on the selected variant’s rules. Watch suits and empty columns. Before dealing another row, consider which useful moves are still available and which cards the deal will cover.
FreeCell: preserve temporary space
Free cells make rearrangements possible. As they fill up, long transfers become harder. Plan how to free those cells again after a transfer, not just how to start it. In every variant, compare a suggested move with your own plan instead of following it automatically.
