Types of browser games: puzzles, strategy and arcades
A browser game is defined by how it launches, not by its genre. The same browser can host a quiet number puzzle or a fast physical duel.

Puzzles and logical tasks
Puzzle games ask you to solve a problem within constraints. Sudoku uses a number grid, Minesweeper asks you to interpret neighbouring clues, and parking puzzles involve rearranging objects. Their appeal usually comes from understanding a position rather than reacting quickly.
Strategy and board games
Chess, draughts and economic board games revolve around choices and consequences. Looking at several continuations can be useful. These formats differ in player count, available information and randomness, so a habit from one game may not transfer to another.
Arcade and sports games
Arcade play emphasises movement, timing and reactions. Pinball asks you to control flippers; air hockey involves moving a striker precisely. Before choosing, decide whether you want time to think or the immediacy of action.
